This is the first post for the blog, and I wanted to share a few things, but mainly focus on gaining a new perspective in your photography adventures.
But first, Welcome! And thanks for visiting. In this blog I will be sharing my experiences, tips, ideas, mistakes, and much more as I push forward into photography. I want to share the knowledge I have learned that has helped me in so many ways, with others who can also benefit.
This blog will also feature a variety of my photos and I always welcome feedback. If you’re interested in specific photos, please contact me.
I’ll be sharing more about myself, and tools I use, later on. If you have specific questions, leave a comment.
Now, about gaining a fresh perspective.
The featured photo in this post was from a fun excursion I had one evening a month back or so. As the afternoon started to turn to evening, I realized that it was going to be a great sunset and so without planning out a specific location to visit, I grabbed my gear and left.
If I’m honest, this usually doesn’t work, but on this occasion I came upon this small lake with the cliffs facing me at just the right time to take the shot.
So what does this have to do with perspective? Well, I learned from this experience that sometimes you have to set yourself up in a challenging situation, like driving around looking for a good location to shoot the sunset, and see what you can produce. Try testing yourself, and you might be surprised with how fun it is, and what you can learn.
